Julia Mamaea was the last remaining matriarch of the Severan dynasty. After Elagabalus and Julia Soaemias's deaths, Julia Maesa and Julia Mamaea ruled through Julia Mamaea's son, Severus Alexander. He had a relatively peaceful reign and is well regarded by historians, if a bit of a mama's boy.
