The coin was minted in Cyzicus, circa 295-299 AD. Coin's obverse: FL VAL CONSTANTIVS NOB CAES; Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius as Caesar right. Coin's reverse: CONCORDIA MILITVM; Constantius standing facing right receiving globe from Jupiter standing opposite and holding sceptre; KB in lower center.

Diocletian delegated further on 1 March 293, appointing Galerius and Constantius as Caesars, junior co-emperors. Under this "Tetrarchy", or "rule of four", each emperor would rule over a quarter-division of the Empire.
