Theodosius I AE3 Nummus NGC Ch VF Roman Empire AD 379-395 Clear Name/Rev Chi-Rho

Theodosius I AE3 Nummus NGC Ch VF Roman Empire AD 379-395 Clear Name/Rev Chi-Rho. The baser metal of the coin is fairly dark in color with some green patina, but the devices and legends are visible and interesting. The obverse has a fairly individualized portrait and Theodosius' name legible in the legend. The reverse is the soldier-holding-down-captive motif. The soldier is holding a banner with a Chi-Rho on it, very interesting to see with the emperor on the obverse who declared Christianity the sole religion of the Empire, repressing others. Please see photos for a variety of views.
