The Kingdom of Elymais (also known as Elamais) was an ancient, semi-autonomous state in southwestern Iran (modern Khuzestan) that existed from the 2nd century BC to the early 3rd century AD. Often a vassal to the Parthian Empire, Elymais was populated largely by the descendants of the ancient Elamites and is primarily known to history through its surviving coins.
