Roman Imperial sestertius of Emperor Balbinus, 238-A.D., R.I.C. 22, 30-31 mm diameter, 23.7 gms. Balbinus ruled only 3 months. The obverse shows the laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Balbinus to the right. The obverse legend shows IMP. CAES. D. CAEL. BALBINUS AVG". The reverse shows Concordia seated left, holding patera and cornucopia. The reverse legend shows "CONCORDIA AVGG. S. C. ". Both sides have a dark green tone over the surfaces, that appears near black, but in the light, the dark green tone shows. This is a genuine original coin, not a copy, replica, or reproduction. EX.
