Galerius, Roman Imperial, 305-311 AD, AE antoninianus, 20-21 mm diameter, sim. Sear 3701, C-22, R.I.C.717. The obverse shows the emperor, facing right. The obverse legend is "GAL.VAL.MAXIMIANUS NOB. CAES." The reverse shows the legend "CONCORDIA MILITUM", with Galerius standing, facing right, receiving Victory on a globe, from Jupiter, standing toward the left. In the exergue is, I think, "ALE", to indicate Alexandria, Egypt, under Roman control. The piece is medium to dark in color, with the portrait and the figures being the lighter, raised areas.This is a genuine, original coin, not a copy, replica, or reproduction.
