Philip I AR Double-Denarius NGC Ch AU Roman Empire AD 244-249 Radiate/Annona. Top grade below Mint State. Very well struck. Obverse portrait is well-defined and characterful. The reverse device is an Annona figure dispensing goods. Legends are well-rendered and legible, although on the obverse the space between the letters and the rim has striations that make the legend appear distorted from some views. The strike is well centered; the planchet has a little extra metal extruding beyond the strike circle. There are a couple of small edge cracks and a small patch of light coloration underneath the neck of the bust. Please see photos for views from various angles.
