On this coin Philip II assumes the title of "Prince of the Youth", a title given to young Caesars destined to become emperor one day. Unfortunately for Philip I and his son, the "dynasty" would only last a few years. Philip I was killed in battle with Decius in 249 CE and Philip II was subsequently murdered by the Praetorian Guard at the ripe old age of 12. ROUGH.
