DN LEO PRPET AG, Leo facing right / SALVS R-PVRLICA, Emperor standing right, holding standard and globe, treading down on a prostrate captive, CON in exergue. 21mm, 3.98 grams. Constantinople or Cherson mint. RIC 660. This type is a great rarity, with only a handful of other known examples. These coins were probably minted in Constantinople for circulation in Cherson, in Roman Sarmatia. These large bronze coins are very rare.
