He was the second son of Constatine I The Great.A christian, Constantius was known to outlaw the worship of pagan idols (more about him on Wikipedia). The denomination of the coin is solidus, and it is composed of gold and bronze (forged by the minter of his coin to increase its value). The solidus is graded in Very Fine condition, with core visible, authenticating the gold over bronze (perfect example showing the forgery).
