  The Roman Emperors Constantine I, Theodosius I, and Justinian I are recognized as Saints by various Christian denominations.  Saint Constantine I, Roman Emperor—reigned 307-337 AD: Constantine I (the Great) was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. He was instrumental in the Edict of Milan declaring tolerance for Christianity in the Empire, and convened the Council of Nicaea, which gave rise to the Nicene Creed.   Saint Theodosius I, Roman Emperor—reigned 379- 395 AD: Theodosius Imade Christianity the official state religion of the Roman Empire.  He convened the Second Ecumenical Council, which affirmed the Trinitarian doctrine of the equality of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.   SaintJustinian I, Roman Emperor—reigned 527- 565 AD: Justinian Ifostered construction of many churches within the Roman Empire. He codified Roman law  into the “Corpus Juris Civilis” which remains the basis of civil law in many modern nations. He convened the Fifth Ecumenical Council.   These genuine ancient Roman bronze coins were minted during the reigns of the Emperors. The coins are  protected by archival capsules and displayed in a floating frame case that allows both sides of the coins to be  seen without removal from the case (see images of case).
