The obverse shows a diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Jovian, to the left, with the legend "D. N. IOVIANVS P. F. AVG.". The reverse shows "VOT V" in a laurel wreath. In the exergue, is "HERAC B", for Heraclea. Both sides are high grade, and the portrait of Jovian shows strong facial, and hair, and clothing detail. There are two marks on the cheek of Jovian. Both sides retain a little of the sand or earthen color on the surfaces, more so around the edges of lettering and design features.
